The Regina Maersk
The Regina Maersk was the flagship of the Maersk containership fleet, breaking the nautical architecture barrier in 1996 to become the first containership capable of carrying over 6,000 containers (capacity of about 6,700 TEU). She is 318 meters long and can travel at speeds of up to 26 knots. By 2000, larger containerships of 6,600 TEUs became available.
