The transatlantic air route is one of most important international air route
in the world. Following deregulation processes, large carriers have secured strategic
alliances to gain access to their respective terminals, as in the case of British
Airways and American Airlines. These alliances are therefore taking place between
major American and European carriers, allowing each to increase their market share.
