Cardamom Carrot Tsimmis


  • 1 lb carrots, sliced thin
  • 1 orange, squeezed, with pulp
  • 1 1/2 Tbs butter
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom (preferably from whole seeds, peeled and crushed)
  • pepper


  • Saute carrots in butter with cardamom for 15 minutes.
  • Add orange juice and pulp.
  • Add pepper.
  • Continue sauteing until tender.
