My Interests and Hobbies
There are many things that I used to do, but no longer do now. For example, I used to like reading fiction and composing poems, even hoping to become somebody in the field of literature. Now I have largely lost interest in those youthful and aspiring ambitions. Instead, I have grown very down-to-earth, and so much so that I became interested in gardening. I also play tennis - for health and fun rather than anything else, and surf the web. And somewhat unparadoxically, I have a fascination about things mechanical, such as cars and tools, having been a mechanic earlier in my life. I enjoy working on cars (but I am not a car buff by any measure), and I always like to read fun magazines, such as, Popular Mechanics, Popular Science, Car and Driver and Motor Trend. I also like reading Foreign Affairs, Fortune, and other news magazines. Just between you and me, some of my students (mostly sophomores taking international business for the first time) literally moaned on hearing that I watch CNBC, Discovery Channel and documentaries on A&E or History Channel as my favorite passtime.
