The Students area is accessible from http://www.pride.hofstra.edu and the student's individual homepages have URLs of the form http://www.pride.hofstra.edu/~username where "username" is the students Pride account username.

Use the Pagefinder. to locate individual student's homepages. To use the PageFinder feathure, click on the PageFinder link at the right and put in the lastname and/or firstname of the student for whom you are searching. You may also use partial word searches which end in an asterisk, e.g., Lastname: Jon* would return Jones, Johnson etc. The list that is returned will contain links to that persons web site. If the person does not yet have web site you will be taken to a page indicating this when you click on their name.

There is also information regarding setting up and maintaining your own web site. This information can be found in the Your Personal Site section to the right.

In the open-access labs you may use drag-and-drop publishing to your "public" folder in your F:\ drive create, maintain, update, and change your site. There are step-by-step tutorials available to guide you through the drag-and-drop system at Create and Publish at the right. There is also an explanation of how to use FTP to maintain your pages from the Residence Halls or from off campus.
