Click Apply above to apply for your faculty personal website. You will be prompted to login with your Novell username and password. You will then be asked to review and accept the Hofstra Computer Acceptable Use Guidelines. Thats all there is to it. The rest is automatic.

Click Copyright above for information on copyright issues pertaining to your website. You are legality responsible for the of the content of your website, and this copyright information can be help you keep your site legal.

Click Create and Publish above for step by step instructions on how to to design and build your website, and how to publish it on the Hofstra Personal Web Page server.

Many of you have already built your own websites, but you may still find some useful information here. There's information about using Dreamweaver to edit and manage pages. And for those of you who so desire, there are templates available which you can download or drag-and-drop to your site. These templates all have a professional look and feel, and are very easy to use. They're a great way to get up and running relatively quickly, without having to battle through the HTML and other design and construction issues involved in putting a website together. The templates can also be used as a starting point–you can modify the templates to your liking.

Click Resources above to go to the resources page. Here you will find links to various resources that will inform you and help you in designing, building, and/or maintaining your website. There are graphic design links, HTML links, scripting links and other useful web-related information.

This is the last step. We want to make sure that you are ready to have your site made public before we put your name on the public listing at http://people.hofstra.edu/faculty.

Click on Make Public above to go through the final steps necessary to "publish" your website and make it live on Hofstra's Personal Web Page server.
