Dr. Miguel-Angel Zapata is an Associate Professor of Latin American Literature at Hofstra University. He received a B.A. from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Lima, Peru, and a B.A from the California State University-Chico, his M.A. from The University of California, Santa Barbara, and his Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. He is the Editor of Hofstra Hispanic Review-Revista de Literaturas y Culturas Hispánicas.
Interests: Latin American and Spanish-American Poetry, Andean region, and Comparative poetry and art.
