Course Objective
The objective of this course is to familiarize students with multiple regression, discriminant function analysis, multivariate analysis of variance, factor analysis and principal components, structural equation modeling, and related analytic approaches. Emphasis is placed on practical applications and computer analysis is thoroughly integrated in the presentation and interpretation of the results. On successful completion of this course, students can expect to understand
  • the purpose of the various analytic methods covered
  • assumptions underlying their appropriate use
  • how to carry out the analyses and interpret the results
  • relationships among the various methods
  • the interplay among theory, measurement, design, and analysis
  • limitations

Prerequisites: PSY 201 and 202 (Graduate Statistics I and II). Open only to matriculated students in graduate psychology program.
