How to Use this Web Site
This is a Popup Window, which commonly appears when an hyperlink to an image is clicked. It is used to display supplementary information outside the main text. It will automatically close itself when another window is selected.
To access the main menu at any time, place your mouse cursor over the MAIN MENU bar on the upper left side of the browser. A full main menu will then appear, offering links to chapters, the table of contents (TOC), and the index. This menu always remains visible, even when scrolling down a page. A [Top] hyperlink should be visible at the bottom right of the browser. Clicking it automatically brings the browser to the top of the page.
This Web site is extensive and is the rough equivalent of 500-600 printed pages. Although the information can be read online, printing parts of the material can often be a more suitable option. For this purpose, Web pages have been specifically formatted to insure an easy and consistent printing. Press Ctrl-P to print a specific page. The concepts of each chapter are also available in an e-book format (Adobe PDF).
This site uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and DHTML. It should be viewed with the most recent browser version, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 (and above) or Netscape Navigator 4 (and above; 6 preferred).
