The Port of Singapore
Located at the strategic end of the Strait of Malacca, the port of Singapore is one of the most important in the world. It is a focal point for some 400 shipping lines linking Singapore to more than 700 ports in 130 countries worldwide. There are about 1,000 ships in the port at any given time. Over the last two decades, the port became increasingly specialized in container traffic.
