Composition of Weekly Frequencies on Eastbound Transatlantic Nonstop Routes

The predominant type of aircraft in the transatlantic market is the widebody twin a twin-aisle widebody aircraft with two engines. Such aircraft are more fuel efficient than three- and four-engine airlines like the MD-11 and Boeing 747 and their moderate capacity is better suited to the proliferation of pencil routes.
