Laker Ship Supplying a Steel Mill in Hamilton, Ontario
Stelco Inc., which Hamilton facilities are shown on this photo, is the largest steel company in Canada. It moves each year about 7.5 million tons of coal and ores over the St. Lawrence Seaway. No other means of transportation have the capacity or would be cheap enough to carry this quantity of bulk freight.
