SHRINE TO FIRECRACKER LABELS

Many years ago during the late 1950s and early 1960s, members of the Duke High Command enjoyed the summer ritual of "scoring" fireworks in downtown Manhattan, smuggling them under furtive guard by subway to Queens. This was followed by about two weeks of blowing up just about everything in sight. This subpage of the Duke Laboratory Home Page is dedicated to the smell of punks, burning sulphur, potassium nitrate, carbon, and lenient pharmacy restrictions in the midst of the carefree days of mid summer.
