Math for America and the Park City Mathematics Institute are proud to offer a new initiative here in New York City, called a Professional Development & Outreach (PDO) Group.The theme of the 2008 NYC PDO is Getting a New Perspective: Geometric and Visual Thinking in Expected and Unexpected Contexts. Facilitated by Kelly Gaddis, Associate Professor of Math Education at Bard College and Joseph Malkevitch, Professor of Mathematics at York College (CUNY), each session will contain a presentation by an invited guest speaker, and the opportunity for participants to engage in interesting problems.
