Estelle S. Gellman, Ph.D

Dr. Gellman teaches the graduate courses in educational research, measurement and statistics offered by the Department of Counseling, Research, Special Education and Rehabilitation in the School of Education and Allied Human Services. Her research and writing is in the area of educational assessment and she is currently president of the Northeastern Educational Research Association (NERA). At the University, Dr.Gellman also serves as co-chair, with Associate Provost Sylvia Giallombardo, of the University Outcomes Assessment Committee. As an active member of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) , she is currently president of the Hofstra Chapter of the AAUP, chair of the national AAUP Committee on Chapters, Conferences, Members and Dues, Collective Bargaining Chair of the New York State Conference of the AAUP and, in her role as past-chair of the AAUP Collective Bargaining Congress, is an ex-officio member of the AAUP National Council.
