DR. BOONGHEE YOO

Marketing
Dr. Boonghee Yoo is an associate professor
of marketing in the Marketing and International Business Department at
Prior to his academic career, he served an infantry division of the Korean Army as an 81-millimeter
mortar shooter and soldier and worked for five years as a marketing manager at
the Cheil Communications, Inc., the largest ad agency in
Dr. Yoo’s research interests include brand equity, online
retailing quality, marketing
scale development, cross-cultural consumer behavior, retail productivity, and
quantitative approaches to marketing. His research has been published in
journals such as Journal of Academy of the Marketing Science, Journal of
Retailing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Advertising Research,
Psychology & Marketing, Journal of Marketing Education, Journal of Service
Research, Advances in Consumer Research, Journal of International
Consumer Marketing, Journal
of Product & Brand Management, Journal of Business and Industrial
Marketing, International Marketing Review, Journal of Marketing Channels,
Marketing Management Journal, and Quarterly Journal of Electronic Commerce. He has
presented papers and chaired sessions at various conferences including the
American Marketing Association (AMA), the Institute for Operations Research and
the Management Sciences (INFORMS), the
Dr. Yoo advised the
Hofstra Marketing Association, a student chapter of the American Marketing
Association (HAMA) from 2003 to 2008. In 2007 he was awarded the Hugh G. Wales Award for Outstanding
Faculty Advisor in recognition of outstanding services and guidance to
