		=	3(3x24)2	6x
		=	18x (3x24)2.

Using the Verbal Form of the Chain Rule

The verbal form of the chain rule above states:

The derivative of a quantity cubed is 3 times that (original) quantity squared, times the derivative of the quantity.

The derivative of (3x²4) cubed is 3 times (3x²4) squared, times the derivative of (3x²4).

That is,

The derivative of (3x²4) cubed is 3 times (3x²4) squared, times 6x..

If you now write this in symbols, you get the same answer as above.
