References

We're going to follow a citation style used in many scientific journals, as shown below. Please remember that ANY and ALL references you use to write your paper need to be cited. Please avoid direct quotes whenever possible; instead, paraphrase the material in your own words.

In the body of the text:

As make statements using information from other sources (Smith 1999), you should refer to that material as you go along (Wesson et al. 1988, Wray 1955). Even if you use the same reference later on, you should still cite the source again (Smith 1999). If you are unsure about a particular citation, ASK ME!

Rules:

At the end:

Example:

Crane, G. (1997). Hercules, Greece=s greatest hero. Classics Department, Tufts University. Retrieved July 26, 1999 from the World Wide Web: http:www.perseus.tufts.edu/Hercules/

(so citation should include the author, publication date, title, publisher, the date or approximate date the page was accessed, and the full URL address).

For unknown authors, substitute the institution=s name or publisher for the author=s name:

Classics Department, Tufts University (1997). Hercules, Greece=s greatest hero. Retrieved .... (as above)
