Dr. Jinyan Fan received a B.S. in psychology in 1994 and an M.A. in industrial psychology in 1997, both from East China Normal University (Shanghai, China). He then earned a Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology from The Ohio State University in 2004. Dr. Fan is currently an assistant professor, with primary teaching responsibilities in the graduate studies area of industrial/organizational psychology. His research interests are in the domains of newcomer orientation and socialization, cross-cultural adjustment and training, and personnel selection. His work has appeared in Journal of Applied Psychology, Human Performance, and Journal of Vocational Behavior.
