I am an Assistant Professor in the Sociology Department at Hofstra University. I am also affiliated with the graduate program in Applied Social Research. I received my Ph.D. (2009) and A.M. (2006) from Brown University and my B.A. (2004) from Boston College.
My research primarily focuses on gender inequalities, disability, and the transition to adulthood in the context of families and occupations. I am particularly interested in using theoretically informed quantitative and demographic techniques.
I teach undergraduate statistics in the Sociology department as well as the introductory and multivariate graduate statistics sequence in the Applied Social Research program. I also teach courses on youth, gender, and families.
