Carol Fletcher, Assistant Professor of Journalism and Mass Media Studies (M.A., University of California at Berkeley), teaches courses in news reporting and feature and magazine writing. She has more than twenty years of experience in the magazine industry, working for such publications as Discover and Time. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Newsday, and JAMA, as well as numerous general interest, science and women’s magazines. Her research interests include environmental and medical reporting and public assessment of risk. Prof. Fletcher is faculty advisor to The Communicator magazine and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and a member of the National Association of Science Writers, among other affiliations. |
