About the Psychology Club

The Psychology Club is m ade up of a group of students interested in the study and practice of Psychology. We bring in speakers from the Hofstra Community as well as people from the external community to discuss how Psychology is involved in our studies, our everyday lives, and ou r career choices. In the past, we have heard presentations about how various behavioral techniques are involved in treating different patient populations, we have heard about different internship for graduate school. The site also contains informations about opportunities on and off campus as well as lots of links to graduate programs and information about the GRE.

If you are interested in learning more about Psychology, you should stop into a meeting. We can give you information about how to get involved with research that is currently going on at Hofstra. There are many faculty in the Psychology department that have ongoing research projects and need your help to complete them. Check the site for information about openings in laboratories. This is a great way to get involved and an invaluable experience if you are interested in graduate school.

The Psychology Club is open to both majors and non-majors. If you are interested in learning more about Psychology, you are welcome to come to meetings and become a member of the club. Meetings are always open and you can come to as many as you would like. We hope to see you this fall!
