I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences and the Director of Adventure Education for Hofstras Summer Specialty Camp program. I teach courses in Elementary Methods, Motor Behavior, and Adventure Education. Additional course information can be found by following the Courses link. My research has focused on youth development issues through three areas of inquiry 1) integrating health and physical education curricula to reduce media use and increase physical activity, 2) creating multi-faceted approaches to obesity interventions, and 3) facilitating youth development through adventure activities. Follow the Research link for additional information. I have included links to a variety of Teaching Resources for those interested in physical education pedagogy.
